We’ve been making money each day, but not much at all. So far, since that day we lost on the Utah Jazz, we’ve been inching our way up the ladder. Part of the reason we’ve been going so slow is human error.

I’ve been going for much more bets than I did at the start, and the difference between making five and getting one wrong and making two and getting two right is phenomenal.

There have also been some insane upsets.

$3.49 on the Dallas Cowboys to beat the New York Giants in the NFL at 1.76 odds

$3.56 on the Miami Heat to beat the Sacremento Kings in the NBA at 1.78 odds.

$3.14 on a multiplier – The Cleveland Cavaliers to win and the New York Knicks to win in the NBA at 1.92 odds.

When I woke up, New Jersey were in the lead, against the Knicks, but now, in the end of the forth, the Knicks have a seven point lead. It seems like the Knicks might pull through. The Cavs are playing an easy game against the Milwaukee Bucks – starting after the Knicks are done so that Multi is as good as won, I’m sure.

The multiplier was a win! I’m so glad that at my first try, I won a bet that had $18.22 odds. Orlando, Denver, Torronto, and Atlanta all won. Two of those bets were ridiculously close. In the fourth quarter, I was convinced that for the first time since my explosive betting start, that I would have been faced with risking my own money.

The regular bets were a different story.

Orlando won – after being down by five points in the middle of the fourth quarter. They got into a lot of foul trouble – which was smart play from the Golden State underdogs. Luckily, with four of their best players only a foul away from being sent off, Orlando had a fifteen point, unanswered run to win the game.

The Denver Nuggets are another comeback story. They were trailing for the majority of the game against the San Antonio Spurs. Even when they were down by eleven points in the second, I was sure that they would come back and win. This is very smart play by me – as they were not the favourite in the odds. I went against the odds, with my gut, and I kept confidence the whole way through.

Now- The Utah Jazz. What the hell happened with that game? Luckily the Utah Jazz odds were suspended last night when I put the multiplier bet on. I would have definitely added them to the multiplier bet, and we would have had less than our initial outlay to close the day. Anyway, they lost to the Memphis Grizzlies, and in doing so, gave them their third win of the season. Completely unpredictable.

This just goes to display – anything can go wrong in NBA. Every bit of research has to be done, because setbacks are going to come in the form of unexpected losses.

We made it out ahead for today, and cut into yesterday’s losses – but only JUST. Luckily for us, we’re at a point where we can hope to build on what we’ve got. It’s safe play from here on out.

Today, I’m trying something a little different. I’ve noticed that some days, all of my predictions come true, but I’m not confident enough to back them. I’ve put a 50c multiplier bet down on four basketball matches. If they all win, that 50c will become 9.15.

The Multi Matches are:
Atlanta Hawks to beat the Dallas Mavericks
Orlando Magic to beat the Golden State Warriors
Denver Nuggets to beat the San Antonio Spurs
Torronto to beat the Chicago Bulls

The Torronto-Chicago and Atlanta-Dallas game could go either way, but hopefully everything goes right. It’s only 50c, so I’m prepared to lose it.

Now, for the regular bets:

$2.20 on the Denver Nuggets to beat the San Antonio Spurs (2.20)
$10.02 on the Utah Jazz to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves (1.27)

I can’t help but think that something is going to go wrong, today. I’ve just been making these bets the same way I’ve made the others – sticking to what I know and playing it straight. But there are four bets in play at once. If two of those bets lose, we’re back down to below $50. I’ve gotten 4 in a row before, so let’s just wait and see.

Despite having a 50% accuracy for the day, we’re ahead in terms of money. Because we got such good odds on the NFL game, we risked less than we won on the NBA game. I’ll run a projection with our current accuracy and our average odds, to determine the current finishing line- after the Nuggets VS Heat game, which I am glued to.

The Celtics-Spurs game is starting! Woo

I caught the odds right after they were produced by the bookie’s algorithm, and before the betters changed the odds.

It seems that overnight, the betting confidence has been with the Celtics, because here are the current odds:

Boston Celtics: $1.92
San Antonio Spurs: $1.90

They are almost at even odds to win the match. At the old odds, I had to bet 2.64 to make the 2.70 or something that this bet requires. Had I waited until morning to make the bet, I would have had to wage 2.96.

This may not seem like a lot to you, but should this bet be a loss for me, the average odds will be much higher, and the system completion will be much earlier.

The odds should go down further as we get close to the game. After all, the Celtics are the better team.

I’m still deciding whether to bet on the Nuggets-Heat game. I’ve got a few hours to decide, and the odds are just getting better for me, the later I leave it, so I’ll keep you posted.

Game: Celtics VS Spurs
Status: Bet – Boston Celtics

The odds for this game were posted very early at the betting agency. The Boston Celtics are the better team, yet the Spurs are the favourites. This is probably because the Celtics are playing away from home, and the Spurs have had a few wins recently.

The Boston Celtics have their own winning streak. Their head-to-head stats with the Spurs are even – with the most recent of wins going to the Celtics. The Celtics have a better league standing – but this may be because of the Spurs’ terrible start.

I’m very confident that the Boston Celtics will win tomorrow, and apparently the rest of Australia is, also. I jumped in with a bet of 2.64 at 2.05 odds. The odds have already dropped to 1.98. By the morning, Celtics could be an even favourite, or they could be clear favourite.

I’m not betting on the other two games.

I strongly believe the Denver Nuggets will beat the Miami Heat, despite this being the rematch after Miami’s ten point win, last month, but the 1.20 odds are too much for me to risk until I’ve cleared the next seven or so bets.

The Houston Rockets should come up ahead, but I don’t say this with any confidence. My betting agency hasn’t posted odds for this game yet, and I am predicting a close game that could go either way.

Two wins after such a bad loss is a great boost to my confidence. I’m hoping I can at least get the next 7 games out of the way without losing a bet, so as not to drop underneath my 90% accuracy. Ideally, I’d like to win every single bet from here on in, but I’ll settle for not losing a bet due to human error.

There were two more bets that I was considering making, but I didn’t mention them in my last post, so I’ll go ahead and assume that they are only so clearly winners in my mind in retrospect. As my buddy was telling me: “It’s easy to beat yourself up over missing a bet after the game is over.” Orlando topped the Knicks, and Cleveland demolished Phoenix. Oh well. Next time!
